Dr. Sabrina acquired her Bachelors of Science, Masters of Sports Injury Management, and Doctorate of Chiropractic Care at Life University in Marietta, Georgia graduating with honors.
Dr. Sabrina provides sports chiropractic treatment for NFL athletes at Coach Tom Shaw’s Training Camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports, offering years of expertise in the field of sports injury management and performance enhancement, utilizing sports chiropractic protocols. She has also served as the official chiropractic physician for the inaugural year of Orlando’s new Major Indoor Soccer League team; the Orlando Sharks (2007-2008) and the Indoor Professional Lacrosse Team of the NLL; the Orlando Titans (2010) .
She is also the chiropractic physician for the Orlando Ballet, NBA’s Orlando Magic and the Orlando City Soccer Team!
Her involvement in team sports began with the women’s basketball team at Life University, with whom she traveled, during her internship for her Masters of Sports Injury Management. She was the first student to initiate travel for treatment during athletic events,through Life University. This pivotal milestone assisted in the development of a program, launched for current students, to travel alongside with teams, allowing them to provide treatment during athletic events; assisting in the advancement of their hands-on experience, as well as providing invaluable on-site chiropractic care for competing athletes at all levels.
Her involvement also includes associations with several other sports venues and events, including DEW Action Sports Tour, USA Taekwondo, USA Judo, Disney Marathon, International Softball Federation, ProSport and Professional Rodeo Association.
Dr. Sabrina Atkins has served as the Medical Director for the Sunshine State Games, Florida’s largest amateur sport competitions for 4 years. The Sunshine State Games is a recurring Olympic style State Championship held annually in Florida.
She is the founding CEO of her private practice, Orlando Sports Chiropractic, in the southwest area of Orlando; Dr. Phillips. Orlando Sports Chiropractic is the premier center for maintaining optimal health and performance. Within the scope of her practice, Dr. Sabrina has an array of clients ranging from professional athletes to families and children. She is a member of Florida Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, Florida Sports Council, ProSport and American Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Sabrina is former President of the FCA Sports Council and has also served as Vice President of Florida Sports Council, receiving Doctor of the year award from the Southeastern Circuit of ProSport. She was recognized as a notable nominee for Orlando Sports Council Chiropractic Physician of the Year award, four years in a row, and has been recently honored with the Tender Care award from the Orlando Ballet.
Dr. Sabrina was an athlete herself. She played softball and tennis; was a track sprinter and high-jumper; was the first female on the varsity wrestling team at her high school.
She now enjoys running, yoga and TRX workouts. She became a new mommy in the Fall of 2011 and is enjoying every minute of the hardest most rewarding thing she has ever done; being a mommy to her little girl, Bella.
